It has nearly been a year since Izumiko, the ancestral messenger spirit rode through Mimura on her phoenix bearing her omen.  Her words are typically cryptic, but were unusually straight forward:

Leave Mimura and

Become the downfall of your

Entire family.

To date, few people have left the village and those that have found Izumiko's words to hold some truth.  Be it coincidence or fact, few are willing to test the words of Izumiko.
